UPDATE: Charleston Fatal Fire Ruled Accidental, Name Released

UPDATE Monday @ 1:04pm
Charleston Firefighters say Roger Shelton died in the fire. He was in his sixties.

Shelton was the person renting the house, according to firefighters.

ORIGINAL STORY
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A fast-moving fire that killed one man has been ruled accidental by investigators.

The flames started shortly after 1 p.m. Saturday at a small house near the intersection of 6th Avenue and Patrick Street in Charleston.

Firefighters tell WSAZ.com one man died, but they are not sure if he lived in the house.

No one else was hurt.

Investigators say the gas and the electric were turned off in the house.

Patrick Street was closed for about two hours while crews got the fire under control.

Investigators originally thought the fire may have been suspicious, but they said Sunday all evidence points to an accident.

The victim's name has not been released yet.
