LOGAN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The case against a man charged in the death of a woman from Logan County is headed to the grand jury.

Jeffrey Finley waived his right Thursday to a preliminary hearing.

Police say Finley shot and killed his wife, Lynn and then made his teenage daughter drive her body several miles away from their house in West Logan to get rid of her body.

Police later found her body inside a parked car along Harts Creek Road.

The crime happened earlier this month.

The daughter has not been charged in the case.

i know that what her father did was wrong and i am truely sorry.but i also know her infact i know her very well.i know that she wouldn't do anything like that unless she was scared.look at it this way if it was you what would you have done?you don't really know what you'll do when you get scared.you just do things without thinking you do them out of fear.if someone tells you to do something you're more than likely gonna do it especially if you fear that the same thing will happen to you or someone you love and especially if you love that person.you don't even know her so how can you judge her?you know how most people say "only god can judge me"?well lets leave the judging to him instead of trying to do it for yourself because you have no right and it's not in your place and you don't have the authority to be judging people.i pray for lynns family every night and i also pray for her step daughter.and you should do the same.you have no clue what she is going through.

I would have gone to the police. She had a choice to get help once she left the house with the body and she CHOSE not to. She had to pass both the police station and the hospital. Also, don't believe what you are hearing is fact.

The daughter did what she was told. Her little brother was still in the house, and she knew her dad just killed her stepmom. What would you do? I don't have all the facts, but I was told that she is the one who called police, while her dad was out looking for her stepmom and told them where to find the body. Lets not judge her just yet.

no one knows what the dad did or said to her but no one knows her feelings toward her stepmom either. even after leaving the car how did she get home? couldn't she then have gone to the police? what about when her dad was out "searching" for his missing wife, did she still feel threatened? couldn't she have said something when he was away from her? or did she pretend to be helping search also?

I wish this had never happend the children are the ones who will suffer from all this and its a shame his mother has to go through this. He should have never taken the life of another nomatter what his reason is. its not good enough.as far as the daughter goes leave her alone she will go through a living hell every day of her life and she will need alot of prayers and so will his little boy. As long as he is in jail,he cant harm himself or anyone else and to his family just keep praying and Gods will, will be done.so people should not criticize him or his daughter cause God can forgive them both. To her family words cannot describe how you feel, but I will still pray for all of you as well. I know this must be the worst thing ever for her parents and family but God will see you thru it all.

Mr. Finley, DO THE CRIME, DO THE TIME!!! The court of public opinion has found you guilty. And as far as the daughter (NO CHARGES, Please).

Are you guys kidding me? This girl done what she was told as you would have if you knew this man towering above you just killed a woman. Dont be foolish Tammy and Just thinking. I as an adult would have done the same thing. Noone knows what he told her . He could have said he was following her or watching her dump it. Hell he may have even been in the car with her at the time. NOONE KNOWS except her. Hell she could have been traumatized from all this she probably needs counseling as well as the young son.

Why has the daughter not been arrested since she drove by the police station with the body. Is there no justice it does not matter that she is underage she should be held accountable. The fact that she may have been scared does not excuse her lack of judgement.

I am a logan county resident and I have to say that this whole thing is sad. Unfortunately this is nothing unusual. I hope and pray to god that justice is brought for the family of lynn. As for his teenage daughter, leave her alone! He could have threatened her in any way shape and form to make her drive this dead woman's body to where she did. All of the details have been kept hush hush as usual. This is logan county and I don't want anyone to be shocked if this guy gets off. It amazes me that he is still in jail and hasn't been released out on bond . On his own personal bond as a matter of fact, because the magistrates in logan county are notorious for allowing violent people out on there own personal bond. To the family of lynn, you are in my prayers. To her little boy, i pray everyday that he can forgive his father for taking his mother because he will be messed up mentally for the rest of his life and he needs counseling.

LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: JustThinking.. on Aug 21, 2008 at 04:01 PM
Why wouldn't his daughter be charged? It doesn't sound like he held his daughter at gun point and made her take the body and hide it. She more than likely had other options.. ya know like a hospital or police. WSAZ, your words say "he made his daughter" what did he do, how did he make her????
