CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A mother from Kanawha County who faces murder charges in the death of her son is headed back to jail.

A judge revoked Stephanie Raines' bond Friday after she pleaded guilty to violating the terms of her home confinement by failing a drug test.

Prosecutors say she was stealing Darvocet from her grandfather who is sick, but the defense claims she was given the pills after she was involved in a car accident. Raines is approximately six months pregnant.

Raines was originally charged with neglect causing death, but earlier this year she was indicted on murder charges.

Two years ago Raines' son Jacob died at her house in Dunbar. He was just three months old.

Raines was sent straight to jail on Friday.

Jerry McFarland is also charged in the case.

Raines and McFarland are scheduled to go on trial next month.

its not hard to find a doctor for pain pills,look at where they come from.they are killing the usa from within,i see it all around me,almost everyone i know,and the ones i know alot of them are dead from drugs.how many baby died because the mother took these pain pills we'll will never know.i know many and i mean many that there babys were born on drugs and they keep the baby for about 3 to 6 weeks to get off drugs. here the silly part the so called mothers were never charged with a crime,i think when the baby born on drugs and it can be proved there should be charges filed let the courts handle it.

I know this girl all the way back to grade school, and it makes me sick that I used to stay all night with her when we were very young. And, this is not her second child. The one that she is carrying now, would be her 4th including the one that she killed of course. I can not beleive that she is pregnant again, and I can not beleive that she is still using. Actually, I can beleive it, but as a mother of 2 myself, I do not know how you could even look at your first born and do the things that this girl is doing. I hope that she is locked away for a very long time, and I hope for the poor baby that she is carrying, that there has not been any permanant damage from the drug use. Stephanie Raines and Jerryt McFarland are total wastes of space.

OMG!!!!!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH PPL THIS DAY AND TIME... PLEASE TAKE THIS CHILD BEFORE IT DIESLET SOMEONE LOVE HIM OR HER NOT NEGLECT IT MY GOD ....THEY ARE TO MANY PPL THAT WILL LOVE THIS CHILD AND ANY MORE LIKE THIS ONE TO LET HER HAVE IT ...PUT HER AWAY FOR A LONG TIME.. SAVE THE BABY!!!!!! PLEASE

i am not a doctor---but i just cannot believe that a doctor would give a woman who is 6 months pregnant--darvocet! i mean when i was pregnant i was told i could only have regular strength tylenol. she needs to have this child taken away from her before she does any more damage to it. give the baby to a family that would love it and take care of it. not abuse it. and yes, it is child abuse if you are pregnant and abusing drugs!

There are many people out here that cant have children and would love to, and you got people out here like her, who are blessed with them and abuse them. This is uncalled for.

Criminal thinking- you can't give the person with that frame of thoughts a chance. They think they are entitled to do what they want- not what the law says. Read Dr. Samenow and get the understanding to this thinking.

The way the judicial system is working right now she will be cleared and handed this child that she is already harming. Let the sickos run free and lock someone up for smoking pot for years , no I am not a pot smoker , but the laws for that seem to be stronger than for murder

Lock her up and throw away the key! I pray this little one is given to someone who will love and cherish it like a baby is suppose to be. Children are a gift. She needs to be sterilized.

It looks like she wants to kill baby #2 now. If the poor child makes it through her drug use, I hope they take the child away and put it in a loving home.

they just need to go ahead and abort this one.. god knows what drugs she has already taken while pregnant.. let alone what she would do to it once it's been born

I hope someone has found a good home for this baby to keep it from this monster AND I hope her tubes are tied. She should have been in jail where she could not get pregnant.
