ST. ALBANS, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A driver was cited after police say she lost control of her car and slammed into a utility pole in St. Albans.

The accident happened just before 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Police say the driver was driving in the 800 block of Walnut Street South when she ran off the road and hit the utility pole.

The driver was cited for failure to maintain and no proof of insurance.

No one was hurt, but emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to get the woman out of the car.

What was the name and age of the driver? Was speeding involved? What made this person lose control?

Get a magnfying glass if it's that difficult to see because there are clearly wires wrapped around the pole and going up. Anyways-probably speeding or talking on a phone, both of which doesn't earn my sympathy. Neither does driving without insurance-I struggle to pay mine but it still gets done.
