JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A slew of accused criminals were arrested Friday morning during a warrant sweep in Jackson County, W.Va.

Sheriff's Deputies served dozens of warrants after a special grand jury returned 60 indictments. Also, several outstanding warrants were served.

Deputies were out early Friday morning, knocking on doors and searching for the suspects.

Police made more than 30 arrests. Each of the suspects were booked, fingerprinted and photographed. They were then hauled off in handcuffs to face a magistrate and head to jail.

"What I would hope for is we get every single drug dealer along with every person that commits crime out here," Chief Deputy Tony Boggs said. "I know that that hasn't happened yet but we're going to continue to work at that especially if we have buys on you then we're going to come and get you."

Most of the suspects arrested Friday are facing drug charges. The other suspects face charges that range from burglary, fraud and conspiracy to DUI and harassment.

Many of those indicted turned themselves in, while others are still on the run. Deputies intend to continue to search for those individuals.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department, West Virginia State Police, Ripley Police, Ravenswood Police and U.S. Marshal Service participated in the roundup.
