UPDATED 9/27/06: Police in Cabell County arrested Christopher Charles Cunningham Tuesday night. He's currently in the Western Regional Jail.
Police say he stole high dollar merchandise from a store in Kentucky and pawned it in West Virginia. Plus, he's accused of stealing someone's identity--and using it in Kanawha County.
The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department has named Christopher Charles Cunningham one of Charleston's Most Wanted. He's wanted out of Boyd County, Kentucky, for allegedly not showing up for court. Cunningham is charged with shoplifting at the Ashland Wal-Mart.
Police say he admitted to stealing more than a thousand dollars worth of computer supplies and pawning it all in South Charleston at Will’s Jewelry & Pawn. Ashland Police found 19 flash drives in Cunningham’s pockets when he was arrested last year. He told police nine of them were from the Ashland Wal-Mart, the rest he stole from the Wal-Mart in South Charleston.
Cunningham is also wanted in Kanawha County for identity theft. Deputies say he’s caused a lot of problems for the victim.
“The victim had his driver’s license wrongfully suspended,” said Lt. Sean Crosier with the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Department. “There were also valid warrants out for his arrest. He had to attend court--all because a person stole his identity."
Christopher Charles Cunningham is 24 years old. His last known address is on Bradley Drive in Cross Lanes. Call the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department at (304) 357-0169 if you have any information about him.
