Proctroville, Ohio (WSAZ)-A telephone call may have saved a man's life Sunday afternoon. He was sitting in his bedroom but got up to answer his phone. A few seconds later a large boat crashed into the room where he had just been sitting.

Police say the crash was an accident. A neighbor was hooking his boat up to a trailer when it slipped down the hill and slammed into a house.

The accident happened Sunday afternoon. Police tell us they may need to bring a crane in to remove the boat.

This accident happened in a neighborhood in Bradrick. That is near Proctorville in Lawrence County, Ohio.

Big Deal a boat crashed into a house. No one was hurt and yea it's news mention it 1 time not have it a headlining story. There was also a bad car accident in Ironton the night before and it was a hit and run and it hasn't even been mentioned. That kinda seems a little more important than a boat that NO ONE got hurt in

I agree with Nope and I was raised in Chesapeake and Bradrick Hill is Chesapeake--even the kids that live up there go to Chesapeake schools. Get ya facts right wsaz.

If you all would looked hard you would see the trailer and boat was together it came off of the ball on the truck. So if it looks locked then you would think it was. Just a crazy mishap. Glad no one was hurt. I know Jermey and he is very safe when it comes to his boat and moving it.

Actually the boat wasnt blocked on the wheels because he was moving it down the driveway, like a thousand times before. There is no possible reason for that boat to have come loose from the truck. He tried to back up and pin the boat but you gotta realize a 32 foot 7,500 pound boat on an incline is not gonna be stopped by a ford f250.It just pushed him out of the way and kept goin.Jeremy is one of the graetest guys out there and would do anything to help someone. He bought this boat after it was in a tornado and completely rebuilt the engines, interior and painted it himself over 2 years.Trust me he wouldnt just hook this boat up and not have checked and fastened everything down,it was just one of those freak accidents.

hahaha as much as thid SUCKS for the homeowners...it doesn't really look like it was a life or death situation.

Hello? Was the boat tied down to the trailer? Were the wheels blocked so it wouldn't roll? Was it sitting perpendicular to the hillside? Just some common-sense ideas to consider.

Please go to www.dangeroustrailers.org for more on these accidents involving trailers. This week I have recorded 3 such accidents. The questions need to be asked... no training is required to tow a trailer. Anybody can build one just so long as it is one pound under 3,000 pounds GWR. NO Federal regulations are in place for trailer hitches. ( The industry won in 1972 ) Since 2003 to 2007 over 120,000 people injured, 2,231 killed and over 340,000 incidences of property damage just like this has been recorded. From 1999 to 2003 130,824 injured 2,054 killed and 333,875 incidences of property damage. The company called Carry On trailers has spent at least 7,500 in campain contributations to stop any effort to bring regulations to Utilty Trailers. I have the evidence.

How does a boat come loose, they have safety chains for the trailer and a brake cable for if the chains break. They got lucky this time. Thank God for telephones

How do the characters who claim they do not intend to vote explain their hot words about the state of affairs yhat we all are subject to at the hands of and by the poor elected officils we now have in office. If we do not vote we leave open the opportunity for bad representation to be elected. in short, vote no matter that your choice is not the right one (Obama). At least you made an effort.
