A little bit of Colorado has made its way to West Virginia. That's because of NFL football star and Rand native Randy Moss. On Saturday, his latest venture called Inta Juice opened its doors in Kanawha City. While everyone came out to taste the new drink, most were just excited to see the West Virginia son.
It's a long way to grandma's house in Elkview from Georgia, but Jeremy Taylor made the trip. Little did he know, Randy Moss would make him a smoothie.
Armed with keepsakes, the wait to smile with the star is worth it.
Randy Moss’s favorite is the Caribbean smoothie, but more important to Moss is his message.
“Just by the obesity problem, that not just the state has, but the whole country has,” said Moss. “It’s just one thing I tried to put my stamp on, and my name on Inta Juice.”
Inta Juice is a Colorado based company, and West Virginia is not on its radar. So when the receiver caught the business bug, he decided it was time to mix things up back at home.
“I am going to try and build this state, slowly but surely,” said Moss. “Hopefully by the time I leave this earth, I will have done something well.”
He’s inspiring the business leaders of tomorrow, but in the meantime, making an afternoon they won't soon forget.
Randy says he'd also like to build the city of Charleston a new civic center, but it's no surprise he wants to become a business man. He majored in Business at Marshall University.
