It's fitting that the news broke on Independence Day that President George W. Bush plans to make another visit to West Virginia. Since 2002, President Bush has made West Virginia a July 4th favorite with three visits. (Charleston, Ripley and Morgantown)
Sources tell WSAZ that President Bush will be in Charleston on July 26th for a fundraiser at a home in South Hills. It's expected the president will spend only a few hours in West Virginia. Invitations to a couple thousand people to the private fundraiser went out Monday.
Congresswoman Capito faces democratic challenger Mike Callaghan in the general election in November.
