Police say she watched someone enter his PIN at an ATM on the east end. A day later: she got away with thousands of his dollars. The Charleston Police Department has named the unidentified woman pictured one of Charleston's Most Wanted.

Here's how it happened: police say a man didn't know this woman, but picked her up on the east end and drove her around. He stopped at an ATM to get some cash, then left her in the car alone at some point. That's when police say she stole his bank card and went on a spending spree--withdrawing cash and spending $2,500 on groceries, clothes, and cigarettes. The incident happened on May 22 at about 10:30pm. Detectives need your help to identify and catch her, but they have advice for the rest of us.

"This all comes back to credit card, ATM card safety. You know, if you're at a grocery store or ATM machine somewhere, be aware of your surroundings," said Sgt. Aaron James with the Charleston Police Department. "Don't just blatantly punch your number into the machine without observing who is in the immediate area."

Take a close look at the suspect. Police say she has ties to the east end and Kanawha City--that's where she used the stolen bank card.
