Update on Tuesday
SOUTH WEBSTER, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Scioto County Sheriff Marty Donini announced Tuesday that Timothy Reese had stolen property on him at the time of his shooting death.
Reese was shot Sunday morning after a confrontation with a man who the sheriff said caught him breaking into his car.
Tuesday, Donini said residents down the road from the shooting came forward to stake claim to the property found on Reese Sunday morning. Donini said they appear to be victims of a home invasion, but didn't notice the missing items until later.
The sheriff says they are preparing the case for a review by a grand jury, but are continuing to investigate the shooting as self-defense.
