WAYNE, W.Va. (WSAZ)-Three people were taken to the hospital after the car they were in got wedged under a house in Wayne County.

Firefighters say just after 4:30 Saturday evening a car heading south on Little Lynn Creek road lost control and left the roadway.

The car snapped an electrical service pole in half and then became wedged underneath a trailer. Firefighters say they airlifted Kari Adkins to Cabell Huntington Hospital. She is in serious condition.

Police have not released the names of the other two people in the car.
We do know that they were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Firefighters say they believe speed may have played a factor in the crash.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the grieving family and friends of Karri. She was so young to have to deal with this. Also prayers/thoughts with Amber and Karri's boyfriend as they grieve and try to heal from this accident as well. God Bless them all.
