Trial was due to start Monday for a man charged with murder in Ashland, Kentucky.
However, a plea deal stopped the trial.
Aaron Caldwell was accused of firing four shots into an apartment.
One of those bullets killed Whitni Self.
Caldwell said he never meant to kill anyone, but now he is pleading guilty to the murder and several counts of wanton endangerment for two separate shooting cases from last year.
He'll spend 25 years in prison for it.
The prosecutor says he worked out the agreement with the Self family's approval.
