Severe Weather: Tree Almost Crushes Home
Strong winds and thunderstorms are hit all across the region on Friday night. It was enough to almost crush a home in Cabell County. A tree limb fell and caused some damage to this trailer on West Pea Ridge Road in Huntington. Neighbors say they thought they heard thunder...turns out it was lightning hitting a tree in their back yard. Nobody was hurt.
The heavy rain also triggered numerous car accidents in Kanawha County. A four car accident on Corridor G in South Charleston sent one person to the hospital and even sparked a small fire. Kanawha County Dispatchers say the strong winds also brought down powerlines in Miami in eastern Kanawha County.
