UPDATE: 8/2/06: Kanawha County Sheriff's deputies arrested Joseph Michael Eads Wednesday afternoon. They say they got a tip he was in the St. Albans area.

He's accused of a violent crime--forcefully stealing a woman's purse here in Kanawha County. Now, deputies need your help to track down the man they say did it.

The Kanawha County Sheriff's Department has named Joseph Michael Eads one of Charleston's Most Wanted. He's charged with armed robbery. Earlier this month, police say Eads grabbed a woman's purse and pulled it out of her hands, hurting the victim It happened outside of the Rustic Motel in Jefferson. Court records show Eads got away with the purse and more than four hundred dollars in cash.

"A person willing to steal the money directly from the hands of another person while they're holding it, is a person that will stop at nothing to try to get what they want," said Lt. Sean Crosier with the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

Joseph Michael Eads is 21 years old. His last known address is at the Pine Meadows Apartments in St. Albans. Call the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department at (304) 357-0169 if you have any information about Eads.
