Soldiers Get Airport Greeting
15 months is a long time to be away from your friends and family, especially if you're a soldier in Iraq, where more than two thousand soldiers have died in combat.
Wednesday night 5 soldiers from our region came home after their tour of duty in the Middle East. The soldiers just finished their tour with the 247th combat supply battalion out of Pennsylvania.
The five who came home were, Phillip Distel, Tom Sherman, McClellan King, Gilbert Spurlock and Elliott Gollihue. And more than just family greeted these soldiers. People who go to church with some of these men showed up at the airport
