MASON, W.Va. (AP) - Officials in the Ohio River community of Mason want people to know that Town Hall is for sale.

An auction held Thursday attracted several lookers, but no takers and was canceled after several minutes.

Now, Town Council members have to decide if they should lower the minimum bid price of $35,000 for the 4,100-square-foot building in the middle of town.

The 1938-vintage building once housed the mayor's office, police, fire and water departments and the town jail before it was closed last year. The town's offices are now in a new building.

A decision on what to with the two-story building will be made next week.
