Metheny Reaction to Body Found
With the news that the body found in Jackson County on Friday evening is not that of Melanie Metheny's, her family is still holding out hope for her safe return. The mother of three disappeared without a trace more than a week ago.
Coincidentally, Melanie's family searched in Jackson County for the missing woman. About two months ago, her van was stolen and recovered at a home there. Friends of Melanie say the young man that stole the van constantly harassed her. The Jackson County Sheriff knew about the stolen car, but couldn't make any further comment on the case.
