An escaped jail inmate charged with killing a police officer remains at large.
Authorities massed in southern Ohio Tuesday morning resumed a foot search for John Parsons in rural woods.
That part of the operation was halted overnight as authorities again turned to a State Highway Patrol helicopter equipped with a thermal imaging camera designed to detect body heat.
Searchers who also are using dogs believe they have Parsons trapped in a seven-square-mile area of hills and woods.
Parsons is charged with killing a Chillicothe police officer last year.
He escaped from jail Saturday.
Authorities believe he's likely going without food and water and should be getting tired.
