CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Police in Kanawha County are investigating a robbery where a pizza delivery driver was robbed and forced to drive the suspect to Dunbar.

The incident happened at about 1:45 p.m. Monday.

Metro 911 dispatchers say the pizza driver was apparently stopped at a red light at the intersection of Florida Street and Kanawha Boulevard in Charleston when someone got out of another car, forced his way into the pizza driver's car, then robbed him and made the victim drive him to Dunbar.

The suspect ran away from the car when it got to Dutch Hollow Road in Dunbar.

Police are still searching for the suspect. He's described as a man in his early 30s and about 6'2" tall.

Yea, the cops around here are an easy joke. They slither around at night putting tickets on cars, and putting the date on the tickets from days before (thats just lazy and illegal), but they werent so on point when everbody on my street got their muffler/catalytic converter stolen last week. No surprise, things are the same all over with cops: never solving real crimes like murders or missing people, only glorified meter maids. < yea, I said it. I challenge someone to prove me wrong. And I know if they know who I am, they'll make life hard for me, still not solving the real crimes though. Im moving out of Huntington, its only costing me money. Alot of people are moving out of here-like most cities/towns in WV, they are failing and costing taxpayers to waste money on them. Seriously tho, someone please leave a comment telling me the last real crime they solved? At most other jobs, they fire you for that. And you cant include "ticket quota" or "checkpoint/arrest quota". Worthless cops...

Ok... I will undoubtedly be burned at the stake for this but the mistrusting side of me is itching to be heard... Step back and look at these robberies objectively and ask yourself "Self, why would anyone want to rob a pizza delivery person for what is most likely a menial sum of money? Why not knock over a few parking meters and get alot more money? Or maybe whip a couple of vending machines till they puke some funds?" Is it at all possible that perhaps the "first" of these robberies actually took place and the rest of them were some half baked set up by the drivers who saw a way to pocket some money and get some time away from the restaurant? Is there ANY type of eye-witnesses to the robberies or maybe some surveillance or security camera footage? Worth anything? Again... I am biting the bullet and ready for my tongue...errrr..."type" lashing, as the case may be.

I know that I can always get on this site and know that someone will blame someone else besides the criminal(KB)!!!since when did ordering a pizza become the crime??? get off you high horse KB,and be realistic..

This comment is to KB.. Lazy People? are you kidding me how many times have your ordered a pizza and had it delivered? Some people dont have the finances to be able to afford a car so people who deliver are appreciated by them. Laws need to be put into effect to allow people who deliver to carry a gun. Now back to you talking about getting up and going and getting the pizza since your soooo smart, you should know it doesnt matter if they are delivering or cooking it for you to come and get they are at risk just like every other person in this world. There is not one safe job in the world. Your not even safe in your own home. SO UNTIL YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT KB KEEP YOUR FINGERS OFF THE KEYBOARD!

and yet AGAIN, another pizza delivery person robbed! the ones in Huntington have gotten more and more violent and now this one in Charleston/Dunbar, having to drive the robber? not good people I still wouldn't allow my employees nor would I EXPECT them to risk their lives in order to take some lazy person a pizza! If they can't come get it themselves, they don't need it and should eat elsewhere or cook at home. I wouldn't want anyone I love risking their life for a pizza, min wage and a few tips! These are getting more and more frequent and increasingly worse and more violent like the ones in Huntington recently Enough. This day and age it's not safe. No one's life is worth a few bucks making it easier for people to stuff their faces. Let them go get it themselves. If they're sick, shut-in etc, then have someone else go pick it up for them. People will kill you for a dollar anymore or for a "bargain" at Wal-Mart as evidenced lately!

Did he take the pizza too? If he did it was all Bush's fault because the guy was hungry. I just wanted to be the first to blame this on Bush like always happens from someone on here!

Probably the same bonehead that pulled this stunt a few months back in Huntington... remember the guy that gave him a ride, and was forced to drive to Dutch Hollow????

Tis the season for armed robberies should be the new Christmas slogan. Hope the driver is ok!
