Additional charges have been filed against two alleged members of a Mingo County drug ring who are facing a death penalty trial in the murder of an informant.
The 13-count federal indictment against 55-year-old George "Porgy" Lecco and 43-year-old Valerie Suzette Friend replaces an eight-count indictment filed last year.
The new charges include several firearms allegations.
Federal prosecutors also revised several drug conspiracy charges.
The pair also are charged with murder with a firearm during and in relation to cocaine conspiracy, killing a person for aiding a federal investigation and conspiracy to destroy and conceal evidence.
The charges stem from the April 2005 death of federal drug informant Carla Collins.
Prosecutors say Collins was killed in a plot to protect a cocaine ring run out of a Red Jacket pizza parlor.
37-year-old Patricia Burton pleaded guilty in December to aiding in Collins' death in a deal that spared her the death penalty.
Three other people have also pleaded guilty to roles in the drug conspiracy, while Burton's husband and another man admitted they hid or destroyed evidence.
