Lone Star Rodeo Rides into Logan County

The Lone Star Rodeo is back, and city leaders are hoping the event is a cash cow!

That’s because roping in cash is important to everyone who counts on police and fire services in the city of Logan.

The rodeo means fun, but it's not all about horsing around. What’s at stake for the city of Logan is a black and white issue. More people in the stands means more protection for the cowboys and cowgirls in the city of Logan.

The city's police and fire department are taking the bull by the horns when it comes to fundraising. The goal is ten thousand for each department.

The fire department wants to buy a thermal imaging camera. Cameras like the one used in St. Albans cost around $30,000 dollars. The cameras help to find people in a burning home.

The police department wants to spend its share on cruiser computers.

More safety for everyone, means an entire community pitching in.

It’s an appreciation that goes both ways.
