Thank you very much for your comment tired of it. I am so sick of everyone saying that police officers dont do anything. Just because they see them at a fast food place or at a gas station they assume that is all they do.

In response to: Posted by: trina on Jan 3, 2009 at 12:36 PM (ppl should leave drug users an traffickers alone there is more things for police to deal with) Let me tell you why we shouldn’t leave the drug users and traffickers alone. My children and family members along with every one else in every community from here to Florida are traveling the same streets that these people are driving under the influence on. Also I know to what lengths people with addictions will go to feed their addiction. Do not get me wrong I don’t think that they are bad people but I do know that they have a bad problem and our communities are paying for them whether it is through murders, assaults, robberies, shoplifting, vandalism, DUI, auto accidents or incarceration. What more is there for law enforcement to deal with? The majority of what they are dealing with is either directly or indirectly related to addiction.

I AGREE WITH DIANA, HE WASNT TRYING TO ROB PEOPLE LIKE SOME DEALERS DO

Posted by: diana on Jan 5, 2009 at 09:41 PM
people said he was a honest dealer, he had good prices for his drugs, didnt try to do highway robbery,he can be commended for that, but, as for a resource based system, no he didnt give anyone, even his best friend credit.

First of all, congrats to the deputy on another bust. I know the officer who made this arrest, and I can assure you that no money was pocketed by him. Also, to the one who was questioning the night patrols. Usually there is one deputy covering the entire county at night, so it is hard for the officer to be in your neighborhood all night long. And, for the record, he doesn't spend his time at Mcdonalds and/or SuperQuick. Do you think that maybe, just maybe, the reasons for your burglary problems is caused directly by the drug problem in this area? Last, to the person who was questioning as to why the S.O. hasn't done anything about the problem in Lloyd: Have you reported any of this to them? Without citizens help, the officers do not always know where to look. Call in your suspicions and help them catch these losers, instead of whining to everyone else about it.

The reason human behavior like this exists is due to our monetary-based system. - If we move to a resourced-based system this will end. Check out www.zeitgeistmovie.com or www.thezeitgeistmovement.com to see the future of humanity. ("Zeitgeist" is German meaning- "The Spirit of our Times") The movie may freak you out a little bit, or stretch your concepts of humanity, but you NEED to AT LEAST watch the Zeitgeist Addendum if you can't handle the Zeitgeist movie. - Remember, once your mind expands, it can not contract. - The World, as it is right now, has the ability to sustain all life on Earth and provide everyone with an abundance of everything. Plenty of clean power for thousands of years through GeoThermal, Wind, Solar, Water Turbines and Tidal Generators. Stop falling for the fractional reserve banking lie which ruins humanity. Wake up and enlighten yourself through education...yes, education of the heart, mind and soul. Turn your TV's off!

First of all, I don't listen to anybody who uses "ALL CAPS". - Secondly, "The Agency" has no accounting, no oversight, so the drug money becomes a corruptible income for the police and courts. Furthermore, upon your own admission, you are holding people "guilty by association" which is againsts law and conscience.

I'm a little confused, I mean how are they getting the drugs anyway, heck I do good to get the meds I need from Wal-mart on the four dollar list...I have to schedule my apps. around payday and when my doc gives me a script, the first thing I ask is, "is it on the four dollar list?" I want the drug dealers docs...I would love to have a good nights sleep without pain.. By the way I do have a job and to that trina chick, "are you on drugs?" Why else would you defend them????

Posted by: ky on Jan 4, 2009 at 06:00 PM
GOOG JOB Get all the drug dealers off the streets. Trina you must have a problem . When these people are put away the killing, robbing, will come to a endand the police officers can do the jobs. You won't see people childrens and grandchildrens names in the newspapers.

Posted by: kathy on Jan 4, 2009 at 05:26 PM
I think every Dr. should stop writing for all pain meds. Most people on pain meds are not on the for the right reasons.....They just want the high they get from them. Who would want to feel sleepy all the time, and not want to know what is going on around you. You look alot older than you are. Parents sometime lose their kids to drugs. OVERDOSES kill sometimes. People open your eyes ald look around you. Every drug dealer and abuser should be locked up......

TO MUCH MONEY TO COUNT? COME ON THIS IS VERY FISHY?

Posted by: Barbra on Jan 4, 2009 at 12:44 PM
Trina, I hope you're kidding but I have a feeling that you're not. That's a sad comment.

Posted by: SOME1 on Jan 4, 2009 at 10:50 AM
SHOW ME THE MONEY!I CAN COUNT. DRUGS WILL BE BACK ON STREET IN FEW DAYS!

Posted by: Amy on Jan 4, 2009 at 10:31 AM
TO TRINA: the reason there so much for police to deal with is because of the DRUG USERS & those trafficking it. The more of them the police can get out of our neighborhood, the better off our kids will be.

Don't go passing out the kudos so fast people. For one thing how much cash are we talking in these times just about any cash is considered a lot and street value of $7200 in oxycotin could be less than a full prescription 90 pills to be exact and I know several people that are prescribed 4 a day and get 120 at a time which is a street value of $9600 see this very same thing happened here where I live and was made out to be a major drug bust but turned out to be nothing other than police ignorance the man had just cashed his pay check stopped on his way home from work and filled his script dropped a cigar while driving reached down to pick it up went left of center and spent 3 days in jail for it had his good name ruined and after proving his innocence didn't get as much as a were sorry we made a mistake from the great legal system. So before telling the cops how great they are or condemming this person as a drug dealer we need more facts. How about following up wsaz then posting the story

Again - the drive by media. The headline say's "Greenup County Man" yet in the story it clearly says the man was from Va. So which is it? Is he a Greenup County Man or a Virginia Man?

WHOOOO HOOOO! WAY TO GO GCPD!!!

Posted by: Carrie on Jan 4, 2009 at 01:14 AM
It's lovely that GCPD will actually arrest someone for a change. My neighborhood has been getting robbed for months and they could care less. Cooper claimed they don't have the money to patrol late at night but this story appears to contradict that claim. This suspect must have either been spotted at Super Quik or McDonald's for GCPD to actually catch him.

Posted by: hates drugs on Jan 3, 2009 at 11:11 PM
The GCPD need to check out the drug dealers on Ohio River RD. in Lloyd. They go to FL every month. I have a couple of family members who buy form them. I think they all need to be locked up. To many children have had there lives torn apart because of drugs. They are safe now but they will never get over what they have been thru.

GOOD WORK FELLAS, GET THEM OFF THE STREET... TO ANSWER ONE OF THE COMMENTS THAT WAS ASKING ABOUT WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO FOR FINES AND DRUG MONEY... MONEY FROM THE FINES GO TO THE STATE. THE OFFICER DOES NOT GET ANY PERCENTAGE OF IT. THE DRUG MONEY IS SEIZED AND HELD UNTIL COURT PROCEEDINGS ARE FINISHED. IF THE JUDGE AWARDS THE MONEY TO THE LOCAL AGENCY THEN THEY PUT THAT IN A ACCOUNT SUCH AS "DRUG SEIZURE MONEY". THE AGENCY CAN USE IT HOWEVER THEY WANT TO FROM THAT POINT. ITS NORMALLY USED FOR MORE EQUIPMENT OR THINGS TO FIGHT THE WAR ON DRUGS. TO:TRINA, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND? OBVIOUSLY YOU HAVE TO THINK THAT LAW ENFORCEMENT SHOULD LEAVE DRUG TRAFFICKERS AND USERS ALONE. THATS WHAT LEADS TO OTHER CRIMES. IT LEADS TO MURDERS,RAPES AND OTHER VIOLENT CRIMES. DRUGS ARE THE ROOT TO MAJORITY OF ALL CRIMES TODAY.. YOU SHOULD BE SUPPORTIVE OF THE FACT THEY ARE TRYING CLEAN UP AS MUCH AS THEY CAN. IM SORRY,BUT MY BELIEF IS IF YOU GET ON HERE AND SUPPORT DRUGS YOU IN FACT ARE A DRUGGIE.

Lots of cash??? Too much for the police to count? Sounds fishy! One of the perks of being a cop I suppose!

Posted by: Gotcha on Jan 3, 2009 at 10:45 AM
Sounds like another windfall for the police and city! Exactly what DOES happen to all the money and fines from all these drug busts?

Posted by: citizen on Jan 3, 2009 at 10:16 AM
