It was the only Civil War battle fought in Ohio, and it took place in Meigs and Vinton Counties.
Now, a large group of re-enactors is bringing the battle back to Southern Ohio for four days of fire-powered fun!
The full-blown Morgan’s Raid is set for September 6-10.
Hundreds of re-enactors will spend the five days camping, riding and fighting along a 60-mile course through Meigs and Vinton Counties.
It all culminates in the big battle at Buffington Island on Sunday.
This will be one of the largest, most authentic, spectacular Civil War reenactments.
The event is free to the public.
