A former police chief sued the city of Hurricane for firing him and it looks like they've now settled the lawsuit.
Lawrence Foster filed suit last year claiming the city violated his rights by not demoting him before he was fired.
This week court documents show the city settled and paid him 20 thousand dollars.
Foster will also be eligible for retirement benefits under PEIA.
The city suspended Foster in 2004 and then fired him.
Foster denied any wrong doing.
