Airline fares are about to get a whole lot cheaper for vacation travelers in our area, especially for those heading to Orlando, Florida.
Business and airport leaders at Tri-State Airport put on the Mickey Mouse ears Wednesday morning to mark the arrival of Allegiant air in the Huntington area, meaning cheaper trips to Disney World and other Orlando destinations.
Allegiant will fly non-stop to Orlando starting November 3.
There will be two flights a week with introductory fares as low as $59 one way.
Tri-State Airport plans to spend more than $100,000 for marketing and ground support to help the airline get off the ground.
