Victims of the flash flood in Spring Valley started the cleaning process all over again. Kraut's Creek spilled over it's banks and onto Spring Valley Road for the second time this summer.

The Westmoreland Community is pulling together and offering help to their neighbors across the bridge in Spring Valley. Sheila Harmon is on a mission to get help for the flood victims in her community.

Harmon says, “It’s a close-knit community. Spring Valley is part of Westmoreland.”

Justin Lucas and his neighbors spent Thursday spraying away the aftermath of Wednesday’s flash flood. And every bit of help makes a difference.

That’s why Giovanni’s Pizza will donate 10% of it's sales to flood victims. Kelly Gregg works at Giovanni’s and knows first hand what it's like to start over again. Kelly Gregg as a flood victim it's pretty miserable. You wake up and have water in the floor. It's horrible. All your stuff gets ruined.

Gregg says, “it's nice of them to give their money away to people who need it.

Local schools are stepping up to the plate and helping those in need. At Vinson Middle School, staff, parents and kids are gathering bottled water, cleaning supplies and cash for flood victims.

Sheila Harmon and other parents are getting the word out.

Harmon says, “If you see anybody, pass it along.”

Yesterday's flash flood also ruined the heating and cooling unit in Justin Lucas' home. Other neighbors had already replaced floors and carpeting from the last flood. Now they have to start the remodeling process all over again. The specific items they really need are bleach, bottled water and cleaning supplies.
