Fans who didn't make the trip to Morgantown to watch the big game still got a stadium-like feel at Appalachian Power Park in Charleston. That's where hundreds of Marshall and WVU fans gathered to cheer on their favorite teams.

Zachary Price is one of the biggest WVU fans. He looks like he should have been playing in the big game, because he was wearing a Mountaineer jersey and helmet. Maybe in about ten years he'll be on the field, but for now he watches the game on TV.

Justin and many others went to Appalachian Power Park to watch the Herd vs. the Mountaineers.
And the crowd was divided literally, with one side for the Mountaineers and the other side for the Herd.

Dan Amelia has been cheering on the Mountaineers with his trumpet since 1978 when he was a member of the band.

His days in the WVU band may be long gone, but he says he never going to stop playing Mountaineer music.

“I'll keep it going,” said Amelia. “People love it, and you can see the response. I love doing it as long as I can remember the music.”

And people seem to love hearing him do it.

Just like the food you would find at a real football game, the fans at Power Park could buy hot dogs and hamburgers at the concession stand.
