After Five Years, 9/11 Is Still Remembered

It’s one of those events that you can't erase from your memory. When it happens, you remember where you were, what you were doing and how you felt…like the assassination of JFK or when the space shuttle Columbia went down...

At the "Let Freedom Sing" concert, many people remembered what makes America great. And many people were remembering where they were when it happened.

September 11th is a time when Mike Erwin remembers his co-workers. At the time, Mike worked for Oracle, the second largest software company in the world. Eleven Oracle workers were killed on September 11th.

“I was trying to reach a guy named Steve Morris,” said Erwin. “He was a guy who worked for me. He was on the 93rd floor of the South Tower.”

Both Mike and his wife Jackie say 9/11 changed their view on life.

“It solidifies the family, the travel, and the business is all secondary now,” said Erwin. “And before, I don't think it was. It was almost an age of innocence.”

It was a date and time that was etched into our memories.
