More Safety Equipment for Mines

New equipment will hopefully help keep miners safe underground.

Two men died in January at Massey's Alma Number One Mine in Logan County.

Now the company plans to install more sprinklers and fire hoses underground. Massey will also supply rescuers there with thermal imaging cameras.

A Massey Energy spokesperson says they hope these steps will reduce underground mine fires and improve rescue operations.
