High prices and low supplies of the gas "helium" have deflated business for some local party stores.
Three major overseas helium suppliers have been off-line due to maintenance issues. The slow down has depleted supplies available for the balloon business.
A government plan for much needed equipment repairs in a U.S. facility should have supplies "sky high" by November, just in time for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
