Cause of Burlington Apartment Fire Unknown
The Ohio State Fire Marshal has ruled Friday’s fire at an apartment building in Burlington as undetermined.

The Ohio State Fire Marshal has ruled Friday’s fire at an apartment building in Burlington as undetermined.

Investigators say the fire originated on or near a sofa in apartment #8.

They say careless disposal of smoking materials and other accidental causes have not been ruled out.

A cat chewing through an electrical cord has been ruled out as a possible cause.

According to information from the state fire marshal's office, it appears the fire may have started near a sofa. While no exact cause has been determined yet, the fire marshal's office claims it does not look suspicious.

BURLINGTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Four families are homeless after fire rips through their apartment building In Burlington, Ohio.

The fire at the Division Street Apartments was reported shortly after 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Five fire departments were called to the scene.

We're told the fire started in one of the townhouse apartments, then spread to the other three apartments in the building.

There are no reports of injuries, but the Red Cross has been called in to help people who live there.

No word how the fire started, but the Ohio Fire Marshal's office has sent an investigator to the scene.

I just want to say that i am very sorry for these ppl and all that they lost and whoever is saying bad things about the owners need to just shut up my son plays sports with Brandi and Dale's son and these are some of the nicest ppl you could meet you can tell that they actually care about other ppl and accidents happen its not at the fault of the owners or anybodys that we know of so far and for water breaks they happen the house i live in just had a water line break so yeah it happens if nothing ever went wrong with properties then everyone could afford to own them just want to say one more thing the ppl that lost their homes are in my thoughts and so are the Jacksons good luck

Sherry, The comment you made was not on here, but on the Ironton Tribune. But Im just sick of being put down as a landlord when I try my best to upkeep my properties and keep my tenants happy.

To Dale the owner.. at no time did I say anything bad about u as the owner of these apts I said it was a sad day for my friends and yes u have helped alot and gave them another apt to move in now who ever is telling u I said anything about u.. let me say first I dont know u and nor did I say anything about u except about the water break in the apts.. so no more. and thanks for helping out my friends. sherrymersh05@yahoo.com
