Last Weekend of Summer

All across Charleston, people paid their final respects to the summer of 2006.

"Oh it's beautiful,” said Dustin Romano. “It's not a cloud in the sky."

Brianna Kincer said goodbye to the warm days at the park.

“We're walking around the park and we just did the monkey bars,” said Kincer.

The days are getting shorter and the temperatures are dropping, but not everyone is sad about the passing of summer. That's because it's the start of football season.

“Football season is around and we get to watch the mountaineers play,” said Romano.

The end of summer doesn't just mean sitting in front of the television screen for Dustin. His fours hours a week of hitting the green this summer will change to pounding the court at the gym.

“When it's starts getting cold, we can open up the gym and start playing basketball,” said Romano.

For some, the indoors are just as great as the outdoors.

For those of you who love summer, be patient because summer officially starts back again on June 21st.
