Jury Reaches Guilty Verdict in Jackson Murder Trial

UPDATE @ 5:15pm
Just after 5:00 p.m. Friday, a jury returned a verdict in the case against Roseann Osborne.

The jury found Osborne guilty of First Degree Murder and Conspiracy.

The jury has recommended mercy, meaning she could be up for parole after serving 15 years in prison.

Osborne will be sentenced on February 26th.

The fate of a woman accused of murder in Jackson County, West Virginia is in the hands of the jury.

Roseann Osborne faces charges in the death of her husband, Mohammed Mahrous.

His body was found at City Park in Ravenswood back in 2007.

A court spokesperson tells WSAZ.com the jury has been deliberating since 1:00 p.m. Friday.

Osborne is charged with first degree murder and conspiracy.

RIPLEY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Opening arguments are expected to get underway Wednesday in a murder trial in Jackson County, West Virginia.

Roseann Osborne faces charges in the death of her husband, Mohammed Mahrous.

His body was found at City Park in Ravenswood back in 2007.

Osborne's boyfriend, Larry White has already been convicted in the crime.

Jury selection got underway on Tuesday.
