Kanawha County Teacher Arrested

A teacher accused of stealing medication from Chandler Elementary now faces criminal charges. Court records show police arrested Stephanie Atkins Monday and charged her with petit larceny.
School Board Members say Atkins stole adderall from another teacher's desk. Atkins is a special education teacher at Chandler Elementary.
The attorney for Kanawha County Schools says Atkins has been suspended and a teacher's aide has also been named in the investigation. Charges have been filed against that employee.
Atkins is out of jail on bond.
