HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- The WSAZ newsroom took a lot of calls Friday night about bright lights over the skies of Kentucky, now WSAZ.com has some answers.

NASA say two satellites collided Friday afternoon over Russia.

The debris began entering the atmosphere over Kentucky causing streaks of bright green light in the night sky.

Emergency dispatchers tell us the debris didn't cause any damage, but they did receive a lot of calls from concerned people.
