PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Four people are behind bars accused of running a meth lab in Prestonsburg.
Police say they got a report of a strong odor coming from an apartment in the Green Acres complex.
When they searched it they say they found Harry McCoy, Douglas Blackburn, Ronald Wicker, and Laura Tackett with meth precursors and several narcotics.
They briefly closed off the apartment to decontaminate it. Police say no nearby apartments were in danger.
"There's just no good way of getting it all cleaned out, but this has definitely been an ongoing operation. I'm just glad we found it," said Assistant Police Chief Bryan Hall.
All four people are charged with possession of meth and possession of meth precursors.
