Remembering the 1937 Flood
To commemorate the 1937 flood, NewsChannel 3 Chief Meteorologist Tony Cavalier went to a Spring Hill Elementary classroom to brush up on his knowledge of the flood with some very bright and creative fifth-graders.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- This winter marks the 72nd anniversary of one of the worst floods ever on the Ohio River.

To commemorate the 1937 flood, NewsChannel 3 Chief Meteorologist Tony Cavalier went to a Spring Hill Elementary classroom to brush up on his knowledge of the flood with some very bright and creative fifth-graders.

In response to Josh, We were doing an international robotics competition called FIRST LEGO League, part of which is a research project. That year's theme was climate change, and we chose flooding.

It doesnt matter where the storys told just as long as it is told...There are to many schools in the area to visit so i guess WSAZ has to hit and miss. Thanks WSAZ for the good work.
