UPDATE: Mobile Food Pantry Visits Ironton Thursday
107 families are receiving about 8,000 pounds of food today in Ironton.

IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A food pantry in southeast Ohio helped families in need Thursday.
107 families received about 8,000 pounds of food in Ironton.
It is through Lutheran Social Service Mobile Food Service program.
The giveaway for registered families took place from 12:30-2:30.

IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Help with putting food on the table is coming to southern Ohio.
A mobile food pantry is scheduled to be in Ironton Thursday from 12:30-2:30 pm.
The Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is providing the food.
Each person can receive a three-day supply of food, once a month.
To get the food, you must be referred by First Link. The number to call is 877-704-3663. That will get you the referral.
You can call the number on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays between seven in the morning until four in the afternoon.
On Tuesday and Thursdays, call that same number between seven in the morning until eight in the evening.
Each family is urged to bring their own bags and boxes.

This is absolutely wonderful! As though it is not hard enough in today's economy to maintain a household, these people are coming in to help lift up a fellow brother. It is about time that those who need a helping hand are treated with respect and kindness that they should be. Thank you Lutheran church and most of all Thank you Lord.
