TAMPA, FL (WSAZ) --The NBA will have to wait for Patrick Patterson.
The University of Kentucky Basketball star told a Lexington TV station that he will be returning to UK for his junior season.
The station caught up with Patterson during a practice for Thursday’s SEC tournament game in Tampa, Florida.
Patterson, who is from Huntington, was recently named to the First Team All-SEC by league coaches.
Patterson finished the regular season as the only player in the SEC to rank in the top five in scoring (fourth - 18.4 ppg) and rebounding (third – 9.2 rpg). He leads the league and ranks eighth nationally in field goal percentage (61.5).
No word if, Jodie Meeks, UK’s other SEC first-teamer, will be returning for his senior season.
