LOUISA, Ky. (WSAZ) -- Police have released the names of the people involved in a shooting in Louisa, Kentucky, Thursday morning.
It happened at around 8 a.m. at the intersection of Pocahontas and Preese Drive.
William Newsome is accused of pulling along side Tracy Heaberline's car and firing two shots, wounding Heaberline in the upper arm.
Heaberline suffered a broken bone and was taken to Three Rivers Medical Center and then on to St. Mary's Hospital.
Newsome is charged with attempted murder and is currently in the Carter County Jail on other charges.
Ronald Citty is also charged with attempted murder.
Investigators say he was driving the car when Newsome fired the shots.
Newsome is already charged with terroristic threatening and assault against Heaberline for an alleged incident back in January.
Sheriff Garrett Roberts tells WSAZ.com the shooting happened near the corner of Pocahontas and Preece Drive in Louisa around 8 a.m.
Roberts says the suspect pulled up to the victim's car and fired two shots.
He says the victim suffered a wound to the left shoulder and was taken to Three Rivers Medical Center.
The sheriff has not released the man’s name or condition.
The sheriff says the suspect is being detained by authorities in Carter County. His name has also not been released.
Roberts say the shooting is likely domestic related.
