It was a scary morning at Highlawn Elementary when a little boy was hit by a car.
It happened around 8 o'clock Thursday morning.
The six-year-old little boy was being dropped off when a car hit him.
Fortunately, the little boy had only minor injuries.
He was checked out by E.M.S. and was able to go on to school.
School administrators say this is a reminder to everyone to be careful driving in school zones.
Jedd Flowers, a spokesman for Cabell County schools, said, "Make sure you observe the speed limits, be cautious. They are not thinking in straight lines, and they may not be right in the intersection where you expect them to be. They could be anywhere. You have to be so careful."
The driver that hit the little boy immediately stopped to help the little boy.
That driver was also dropping off a child at the school.
