Police are calling it a home invasion that ended in murder and the killer got away.

Kentucky State police say James Mollett was murdered at his home in the Boonscamp area of Johnson County.

It happened late Monday night about 11 o'clock.

There were no suspects as of Tuesday afternoon.

He was found with a single gunshot wound to his left arm, but the bullet went into his chest from there, killing him.

Mollett was 68-years old.
