Names Released in Triple Fatal Accident

SEPTEMBER 26, 2006--State police have released two names of the three people killed in a fiery crash on Corridor G in Mingo County. It happened at about 9:30 Monday morning.

State Police say the driver of a pickup truck crossed the median of
U.S. Highway 119 at Simmons Branch and collided head on with a sport utility vehicle driven by Carol Sue Marcum, 63, of Lenore. Police say both vehicles burst into flames about one mile south of the Logan county line in Mingo County.

Brenda Sue Simpkins, 28, of Delbarton, was the passenger in the pickup. The name of the the truck driver hasn't been released pending confirmation from the medical examiner's office.
