He spent the last 20 years living in the Kanawha Valley, but now James Nelson will be heading back to Michigan to face murder charges that date back to 1979.
Nelson was in court Tuesday morning, he did not fight efforts to send him back to Michigan. Now he'll be returned there within the next two weeks.
Nelson's attorney says police in Michigan have questioned Nelson about the murder for years.
We also learned Tuesday details about the murder from the warrant Michigan officials used to arrest Nelson and the other man from West Virginia, Freddie Parker.
The warrant says eight security guards took part in the rape and beating of Janet Chandler. It also says Nelson used a belt to hit Janet before dragging her into a room to choke and rape her.
A woman at the party also told police that Freddie Parker and James Nelson were choking Janet, then letting her regain consciousness before choking her again.
