Bank Robbery in Sissonville, Suspects on Run

A manhunt is underway for two men who police say robbed a Kanawha County bank Wednesday morning. The robbery happened around 9:30am at the WesBanco Bank in Sissonville.

State police say a man walked into the bank, told the clerk "this is a stick-up," and got away with about $8,000 in cash. The suspect is described as a white male, 225 pounds, 5'7" to 6 feet tall, short dirty blonde or brown hair, scruffy facial hair, and he was wearing a gray ballcap.

Police tell WSAZ the suspect did not make any attempt to cover his face, and the whole incident was caught on surveillance cameras.

Police say another person was driving the getaway car, but they don't have a description on that person.

Troopers say they found the suspects' getaway car about a hour after the robbery on West Washington Street near Dunbar, but there was no sign of the two suspects. Police believe the robbers took off on foot or got into another car from there.

If you have any information about the robbery, you're urged to call 911.
