SEPTEMBER 28, 2006 -- When it comes to stealing money, police say he goes straight for the heavy stuff... change. They say he got away with hundreds of dollars worth of it.

Now, they need your help to put a name with his face. The Charleston Police Department has named the man pictured one of Charleston's Most Wanted. Detectives say he's likely connected to a break-in at the M&M Mart in Kanawha City earlier this month. In that incident, the suspect took nearly six hundred dollars worth of rolled quarters, dimes, and nickels from a safe.

The next day, police say the man in the pictures ttried to cash in a bunch of rolled coins at the Rite Aid in the same area.

"Equipment is good, video is good, these things are good, but the person who is behind that register are the people have to deal with the stolen property on a daily basis. Those are the people that have to stay aware," said Sergeant Aaron James, assistance chief of the Charleston Police Criminal Investigations Division. "You know, when checks come through, ask for identification. When materials like this come through, rolls and rolls of quarters, ask questions."

Police say this man matches the description of the suspect in the break-in, so they think it could be the same person. If you know who this man is, or if you have any information about him, call the Charleston Police Department at (304) 348-6480 or 348-6400.
