CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- West Virginia is injecting another $293.6 million from its share of federal stimulus funding into the state's economy.

Governor Joe Manchin signed legislation Friday that divvies up the amount among several dozen agencies.

More than $126 million will help the Medicaid, foster care, child support enforcement, food stamp and independent living programs.

The state Department of Education is earmarked for $72 million, with $40 million benefiting its aid for exceptional children program.

The Department of Environmental Protection will get $35.6 for its projects. Other recipients include Military Affairs and Public Safety, the Crime Victims Compensation Fund and public transit.

Road projects received $40 million in stimulus last month.

I don't understand the SBA is funding schools while the State is taking more stimulus money. Why would you be spending millions when you're borrowing to pay for things now? This stimulus money isn't free. How is WV going to pay it back?

WV governor needs to be investigated.I should just quit my job. I would be better off. After I pay bills,I have 70 bucks left. And that 70 bucks has to buy gas and food for 2 weeks. My job pays every 2 weeks. Our state leaders need to be investigated.
