Principal Arrested on Drug Charges

OCTOBER 14, 2006 -- Pratt Elementary Principal David Anderson is charged with possession of cocaine. Charleston Police made the arrest Saturday Morning.

Anderson was seen leaving Washington Manor in Charleston--and police say that's when they found him with the drugs. Anderson has been released from jail.

The charge is a misdemeanor. It carries a sentence of up to six months in jail and a fine of $1,000 dollars.

WSAZ attempted to contact both Anderson and Kanawha County Superintendent Dr. Ron Duerring, but did not reach either.
