ROANE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Some residents in Clendenin are still without water on Friday, but it won't be long before the water starts flowing again.

Customers can call the Walton PSD Office at 304-577-9118 for recorded updates, after 3:00 p.m. Saturday.

CLENDENIN, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Some residents in Clendenin are still without water after flood waters damaged a water main line on Monday.

A spokesperson with the Walton Public Service District tells WSAZ.com high water washed out about 30 feet of its water main on Monday. However, the company has to replace 80 feet of the line before water can be restored.

Crews tried to start the project on Thursday morning, but more heavy rain stopped the work.

For those in the community who are in need of water, the Walton Public Service District has a water tank at the Cotton Tree Church. Residents have to bring their own water containers to get the water.

The Walton PSD also wants to remind its customers who lost water service this week the boil water advisory is still in effect.

If the rain holds off for a couple days, the company believes the repairs could be finished in a day.

Nearly 50 customers are affected by the outage.
